APPLICATION FOR NEW NATIONAL SPORT ASSOCIATION
Upon receipt of the complete requirements, the Membership Committee and Accreditation Committee (MAC) shall send a communication to the applicant for a personal interview with the set of officers for a presentation of the NSA. Should the application be approved, the MAC will endorse the application to the Executive Board and the applicant NSA shall present themselves to a scheduled Executive Board meeting for a presentation. After approval of the Executive Board, the resolution shall be endorsed for calendar in the next General Assembly for another presentation by the applicant. Upon approval of the General Assembly, the new NSA shall be deemed a recognized member of the POC and shall be subject to a provisional period of one (1) year for the review of their performance as to whether they can upgrade their status from provisional membership to Associate or Regular Membership. The POC Constitution provides for criteria in the upgrading of membership status.
The following are the requirements:
- Application cover letter addressed to the POC President, attention to the Secretary General and Chairman of the MAC.
- Attachments:
a. Articles of Incorporation and the By-laws – applicant should read the new amended Articles and by-laws of POC to adopt several mandatory requirements in their corporate structure, such as:
- Inclusion of Mediation and Arbitration proceedings within the NSA;
- Officers should be Filipino citizens;
- Main officers should be the President and the Secretary General
- Provision on Gender Equity v. Inclusion of Athletes’ Commission
- Inclusion of a provision requiring the presence of a POC Observer during NSA elections.

c. Board Resolution manifesting the application for POC membership.
d. Proof of payment of application fees.
e. Membership Database Printout
- NSA Website
- Official Address, Official Email
- List of Officers, email, telephone, address, date of election and term of office
- Clubs and their Membership roster, Club location and email address
f. Certificate of Membership with the Asian Federation
g. Certificate of Membership with the International Federation
h. Certificate from the International Olympic Committee that the NSA is an IOC recognized sport (If any). Should the IOC require that the NSA be recognized first by the POC, an official communication from IF shall be presented to the Membership Committee attesting to this requirement. An application for regular membership must be accompanied by this IOC recognition document.
i. Notarized affidavit of the NSA president that the applicant NSA is the only legitimate and governing sports association with membership nationwide to represent their sport with the POC.
j. Documentary evidence that the NSA have held at least two (2) annual championships. List of certified participants, results and photos, and press releases of the Championship.
k. Affidavit of Publication issued by the publisher of at least three (3) major newspaper of general circulation and copy of the publication attesting the fact of its filing of an application for membership with the POC. Any objection to the application should be presented to the MAC within fifteen (15) days from date of the publication.

Of note:
- Only the President and/or the Secretary General can attend the General Assembly. The Vice-President can only attend if equipped with a Secretary’s Certificate attesting to a resolution authorizing the VP to attend the General Assembly.
- Membership in the International Federation is a continuing requirement. Expulsion or suspension of membership with the IF will likewise take the same effect in the POC.
- Fees Schedule:
- Upon Filing: Regular, Associate, Recognized P50,000.00 one-time payment.
- Upon approval: Regular, Associate, Recognized: P25,000.00 per annum.
